In an effort to combat local hunger, Rajesh Patil, his wife Swapna, and their threeyear-old son Tanishq started the Feed
the Need club to collect food for Second Harvest Food Bank this past holiday season.
Reaching out to friends and neighbors, the family collected more than 800 pounds of food in just three weeks. “Not caring about the rough weather, we reached people door-to-door asking them to donate food for those in need,” Rajesh said. “We
made it easy for people to give.”

“We want to be an inspiration in our community and show if one family can achieve such success what can we achieve if we all work together towards a common goal,” Rajesh said. “We can each make a great difference and make the world a better place for everybody.” The Patil family was recognized with a bronze level award for their results and invited to attend Second Harvest’s Food & Fund Drive Awards Event held at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts on March 18, 2008.

Mr. Rajesh Patil attended the award ceremony Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts to receive his award for his outstanding contribution
of collecting 1008 pounds of packaged food for donations. He collected this donations from friends and families with the help of his wife Mrs, Swapna Patil and his 3 year old son Mr TanishQ Patil.
Mr, Rajesh started the "The Feed Need Project" during 2007 holiday season to keep his 3 year old engaged in social activities and the interest grew in their family based on the positive response from their community people in Santa Clara, CA, USA.
According to this couple, they want to get involved in social giving by encouraging and becoming an inspiration to other families
to participate in global giving around the world. Their goal is to bring social revolution by engaging every individual in social participation in
one way or other and making a positive impact which will ultimately make this world a better place to everyone.

During the award ceremony, Mr Rajesh met many delegates from fortune companies like Seagate, Electronic Arts, National Semiconductor, Extreme Networks, SonicWall who are doing
everything they can to help the people in need. All these and many other organizations are encouraging their employees to participate in social giving and the
companies are matching the employee contributions to double the impact.
Listening to all these great social people talk about their efforts to bring positive change, it is not that far when this world will
become self sustainable and every individual and every company will become socially responsible and will deliver their best to remove poverty, child labor and many other pressing social
pains.
